Motorcycle Driving Course A1
The course is designed to prepare you for the Module One and Module two tests. The course includes hill starts and angle starts from cars that are parked and also basic road skills like controlled stopping and emergency response.

Theory
The course will provide all the theoretical preparation you need to pass the test. This includes online lessons and eas theory study material that you can work on independently. You will receive instructions on how to participate in these classes (remotely in the virtual classroom in Finnish) after enrolment in our student system and you can select the most convenient time slot among the available sessions.
In this course, you will learn the basics of motorcycling from your instructor. You will learn about safety tips and traffic rules, as well as some of the more complex components of the vehicle. You will acquire the fundamental knowledge required for all categories of licence and the specific requirements of the category you choose.
The motorcycle driving theory module, included in the course pack will prepare you for the motorcycle driving license theoretical test. This is a crucial component of your education and will assist you in preparing to pass the test successfully. The theory test is a written test comprised of 40 questions as well as two clips of hazard perception. To pass the test, you must answer at least 28 of 40 questions correctly.
Your eas test will usually be scheduled for a month prior to the date you reach the age requirement for the licence category you are studying for. The test must be administered by an approved DVSA tester. If you fail your test on the first attempt, then you'll have to wait at least 2 weeks before you can take the test again.
We ask you to pay any outstanding balance if you're still not passing your theory test prior to the date you start your eas course. This is to ensure that another student from being able to take the reserved seat on this course. If you do not pass the test in the date specified in your training schedule we are unable to schedule a resit for you and you'll have pay the resit fee at the time of booking.
Practical
In addition to the theory class and driving lessons, motorcycle driving courses also include a variety of practical classes. These are the main parts of your education and can be spread out over a few days or longer, based on your needs. This portion of the training will require you to own a motorcycle. It is recommended to choose a motorbike you can easily handle that isn't too heavy or speedy. Start with a 50cc scooter or moped.
The practical test is the next stage after you have completed your theoretical training. The test is divided into two sections: Module 1 and Module 2. The first part of Module 1 is a 40 minute road ride. The second part is an independent riding section lasting 10 minutes. Both are required to get your license.
To prepare for the motorcycle test of module 2 You should practice the basic maneuvers, such as the figure 8, slalom, and emergency stop. These skills will help you to understand what the examiner will be looking for. Make sure that your bike is in good working order and that you have all the necessary gear including a helmet, gloves and jacket. Wear comfortable shoes and bring your driving license.
It's important to note that the pass certificate for a motorbike driving license is valid for two years. If you fail the test during this time frame, you'll need to go through the theory course again.
If you want to upgrade to a different category of vehicle You'll have to complete Module 5. This is the progress portion of the course. It allows you to modify your license without having to go through the whole IBT program over again. This course must be taken on the motorcycle that you plan to use and approved by your instructor.
You'll require a motorbike that is road-legal (taxed and insured, and with a valid MoT when it's more than three years old) with full-sized L-plates front and rear and fitted with mirrors. You'll also need to ensure that the motorcycle is appropriate for the test you're taking and that you've got a helmet and clothing suitable for the weather.
The Assessment
Before you begin your training for the A1 motorcycle license, you need to have completed your Initial Basic Training (IBT). This is a eight-hour course that teaches the necessary skills needed for safe riding. It is part of the RSA's Graduated Driver Licensing Scheme and assists in improving road safety. Once you've completed IBT, your instructor will give you feedback and make a recommendation regarding whether you're ready for the next stage of training or not.
After you have completed the IBT test, your instructor will prepare you for the A1 practical test. The test will be split into two modules. You must pass both to be able to get your license. Module 1 consists of off-road maneuvers, like controlled stops and slaloms, around cones, whereas Module 2 will take place on the road. It involves following a pre-planned route with different traffic conditions.
The Module 1 test lasts for 20 minutes, and focuses on your ability to execute off-road maneuvers such as slow-speed rides and an eight-figure figure. You'll be asked to make an U turn and an emergency stop.
After having passed the module 1 and 2 tests, you will be able to ride a motorcycle up to 35kW. This is the first step towards an A-license that is complete, and it allows you to use either manually or automatically operated scooters or motorbikes.
Your A1 license is valid for only for two years. After that, you'll have to upgrade to the A2 license which will allow you more freedom on roads.
A1 courses include both theory and practical classes. The amount of instruction you receive will depend on the level of your experience on a bicycle. The amount of classes vary from school to school. Sign up for the A1 course early enough to ensure that you book both your practical and theoretical tests simultaneously. You'll also require the necessary equipment, such as gloves and a helmet. Some driving schools provide the option of loaning equipment in the event that you don't have the required equipment.
Licensing
The Compulsory Base Training (CBT) is the first step in getting a motorcycle licence. After passing, it enables you to legally ride on the road on a motorcycle with the maximum power of 35 kW. This can be anything from a moped to a small motorbike.
CBT is a mix of theory and practical training. It helps you comprehend and apply driving rules and regulations you have to adhere to on the road. The course lasts for 12 hours and is broken into three sections of four hours each. You must complete each module before you can take the driving test required for obtaining your category A1 driving licence. You must be over 18 years old age to pass the course.
You must score at least 25 points to pass the test in theory. You must answer all ten questions correctly to pass the exam, and there are no re-takes. The test takes 45 minutes and can be taken at any TUV or Dekra branch of your choice.
The practical course is split into three parts each lasting 4 hours. You must be 18 years old to pass the practical course and be able to drive any motorbike that ranges from a 50cc motorbike to the largest motorcycle that has the maximum power of 35 kW. You should also be able to demonstrate the ability to control and manage the vehicle in different situations, including passing turning left or right, and changing lanes.
After you have completed your theory and practice lessons, you'll be ready to take the driving test to get your category A1 license. This test involves a series riding exercises on the motorcycle provided by your instructor. You will also need to demonstrate that you are able to control the bike in various conditions and in all types of weather conditions.
In order to pass the test, you must have completed at least five training hours on Federal or country roads, and an additional four hours of training during the day or dawn. You must also take a set number of special rides. The instructor will notify you when you are ready to take the test and will give you valuable tips for passing it.
